DON'T MISS THE FREE PARKING AND FREE SHUTTLE!

LOCATION:
The University Eye Center is located on the Berkeley campus in Minor
Hall, which is next to Wurster Hall and the Haas School of Business.
Free parking is available. If driving, please note that our patient
parking arrangement has changed. Please drive directly to the Eye
Center for parking instructions. You will be directed by our parking
attendant to either park alongside Minor Hall (where reserved
optometry patient spaces, designated OPT, have been recently
expanded) or directed to the Kleeberger Parking Lot where additional
parking is available. The clinic is a short walk downhill from the
parking lot (the pedestrian pathway to the clinic is marked by the
dotted, yellow line below) or ride the free shuttle that takes you
to the front door of the clinic.
DIRECTIONS FROM INTERSTATE HIGHWAY I - 80
Take the
University Avenue (Berkeley) exit. Drive east on University until it
ends at Oxford. Turn left on Oxford. Turn right on Hearst. Turn
right on Gayley Road and drive past the Greek Theatre to the stop
sign at Rimway. Soon after passing Rimway, you will come to an
intersection (Kleeberger Field will be on your left and the Haas
School of Business will be on your right). Immediately after you
pass the Haas School of Business, make a right onto the Campus
Access Road, marked by a blue University Eye Center sign, and head
down towards the clinic. The parking attendant will direct you to
the reserved Optometry clinic parking spaces alongside Minor Hall or
to additional reserved patient parking in the Kleeberger Parking
Lot.
DIRECTIONS FROM HIGHWAY 13 OR 24
Take the
Berkeley exit and go straight (west) on Tunnel Road, which then
becomes Ashby. Turn right on College Avenue. Turn right on Durant
Ave. Turn left on Piedmont Ave. Immediately after you pass
California Memorial Stadium, make a U-turn at the first stop sign
and turn right onto the Campus Access Road, marked by a blue
University Eye Center sign, and head down towards the clinic. The
parking attendant will direct you to the reserved Optometry clinic
parking spaces alongside Minor Hall or to additional reserved
patient parking in the Kleeberger Parking Lot.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
Public transportation to the
campus is readily available.
- BART: From the Downtown Berkeley BART Station, take the
Campus shuttle bus to College Ave. For BART information, call
(510) 465-2278.
- Campus Shuttle Bus: A campus shuttle bus stops across from
the BART station at Shattuck and Center. For campus shuttle bus
information, call (510) 642-5149.
- AC Transit Bus: The 51 line, which stops on College Ave. at
the campus, is the best to use. For further information on AC
Transit buses, call (510) 839-2882.
