UC Berkeley (UCB) utilizes a top quality, technologically advanced VISX S4 Smooth Scan Excimer Laser system with eye-tracking capability to perform LASIK and PRK. The VISX S4 also allows a customized LASIK correction to remove the corneal aberrations in order to achieve superior quality of vision after LASIK, compared to conventional LASIK. Our goal is to provide each patient with exceptional laser vision correction and the highest standard of patient care and safety. The three surgeons Dr. Lee Schwartz, Dr. Todd Severin and Dr. Andrew Sorenson, are faculty members of the UC Berkeley School of Optometry. All of our ophthalmologists have extensive experience, having performed thousands of ocular surgeries. We use the most advanced equipment to take pre-operative measurements, such as the Orbscan topography unit. The Orbscan offers more information about the cornea than any other unit available today. This allows us to screen for subtle cornea abnormalities that make a patient an undesirable candidate for laser vision correction. If you are interested in a complimentary consultation or would like more information, please call (510) 643-2860 to set up an appointment with Dr. Maziar Haririfar of Dr. Mark Anderson in the Eye Clinic at Minor Hall. Surgical fees for conventional and custom LASIK are $2,490.00 per eye. VSP members, UC Berkeley Students, Faculty, Staff and Alumni receive the discounted price of $1,990.00 per eye. |
