The UC Berkeley Refractive Surgery Center uses the most advanced equipment to take pre-operative measurements, such as the Bausch and Lomb ORBSCAN topography unit. The ORBSCAN offers more information about the cornea than any other unit available today. This helps us screen patients to make certain that they are candidates for laser vision correction.
The Refractive Surgery Center also utilizes a quality technologically advanced VISX Star S4 Active Trak Excimer Laser System with eye-tracking capability to perform LASIK and PRK/E-LASEK. Our goal is to provide each patient with exceptional laser vision correction and the highest standard of patient care and safety.
