The Low Vision Clinic assists those with low vision make better use of their remaining vision through optical and electronic devices, and other adaptive techniques.
If the best vision you can attain with spectacles or contacts is limited by disease and is inhibiting you from performing typical visual tasks, such as reading, then this clinic might be of assistance. If unsure, ask your eye doctor if a Low Vision examination could be of help, or set up a comprehensive eye exam appointment in our Primary Care clinic for a screening.
We will evaluate your visual abilities and determine your need for strong reading spectacles, magnifiers, telescopes and electronic magnifiers. We also offer rehabilitation counseling and can provide information for services through the many community agencies that assist those with Low Vision.
